Role: Client Accountant (Full-Time)
£40,000.00-£50,000.00 p.a.
As our new Client Accountant, you’ll be at the heart of our client relationships, delivering top-notch service and clear, effective financial solutions.
What You'll Do:
✅ Finalise accounts and corporation tax returns like a pro.
✅ Prepare quarterly management accounts with insightful commentary.
✅ Lead quarterly strategy sessions and keep our clients on track.
✅ Review annual salaries and dividends.
✅ Break down complex accounting issues in simple terms for our clients.
✅ Finalise VAT and self-assessment returns with accuracy.
✅ Welcome new clients and explain tax rules & options.
✅ Provide proactive tax planning and discuss higher rate projections.
✅ Manage FreeAgent queries and new client transfers.
✅ Explore additional add-ons and services to help clients grow their businesses.
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 3+ years of experience managing your own client portfolio.
🔹 Part-Qualified, Qualified, or QBE (ACA, ACCA, ICAEW).
🔹 Deep knowledge of VAT, personal tax, corporation tax, and limited company accounts.
🔹 Outstanding communication skills with a knack for making the complex simple.
🔹 Experience with tech and CRM systems.
🔹 3 years Xero experience is a must-have! FreeAgent and TaxCalc knowledge is a bonus.
🔹 Keen attention to detail, superb time management skills, and experience in training junior staff.
🔹 Someone eager to explore additional add-ons and services to provide more value to clients.
