What you will be doing:

• Prepare and finalise client accounts and Corporation Tax returns
• Answer technical/accounting client queries by phone and email, with a special focus on using language our clients will understand.
• Prepare and sign off VAT returns
• Carry out welcome calls with all new clients to clearly explain tax rules & rates and talk through structuring options
• Providing pro-active tax planning
• Prepare and discuss higher rate tax projections for clients
• Prepare Self-Assessment returns
• Handle complex FreeAgent queries and reconciliations
• Manage the process to bring new transfer clients up to date on FreeAgent
• Prepare and sign off earnings reference’s

Who we’re looking for:

• Have a minimum of 1 year experience servicing your own clients. Experience of the contractor market would be beneficial but not absolutely essential.
• Have strong technical knowledge for mico businesses in VAT, Personal tax, Corporation tax and Ltd Company accounts.
• Be an excellent communicator, with great written and oral communication skills.
• Be comfortable using cloud based technology, with experience of CRM systems.
• Knowledge of FreeAgent would be useful but not essential.
• Show the ability to self-manage workloads and co-ordinate with other team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• The ability to proactively question everything to improve quality and processes
• Training will be provided to support you
